Postnatal

MumFit offers specialised personal training for new or expectant mothers on either a 1-to-1 or small group basis. Supervision of babies, toddlers or young children can also be accommodated during these sessions. The sessions can take place at either RX Gym in West Didsbury, your home/garden or a local park

Postnatally the last thing on your mind might be exercise, however the benefits of exercise are clear: assisting with weight-loss, energy levels, self-esteem, mood, and sleep to name a few! MumFit can help put you back on the path to feeling like you again both inside and out. Several studies have shown that exercise helps with postnatal depression and anxiety and we are here to support you with this, hopefully rebuilding your confidence, and fitness levels, in the process.

Postnatally recovery time is needed, but that doesn’t mean you cannot exercise – there is plenty that can be done to restore you back to your former self, at a pace that is right for you. Your labour experience will be unique to you and so should your return to exercise programme.

MumFit advises on several common postnatal problems such as rebuilding your core strength, adopting correct posture, tummy separation (diastasis recti) and your pelvic floor. Once the foundations are in place, MumFit can push you further and motivate you back to your pre-pregnancy fitness levels, figure and strength.
